Dubai‘s One Za’abeel – envisioned by Japanese design firm Nikken Sekkei – has finally reached its completion. The latest landmark serves as a new gateway welcoming visitors arriving at Dubai International Airport reflecting the continuous growth of the city.
The development features two towers linked by an enclosed horizontal bridge known as The Link that offers a 360-degree view from its 230m-long viewing platform suspended 100m in the air. Recognized as the world’s longest cantilever as well as one of the heaviest recorded lifts in the region, this architectural marvel not only serves an aesthetic purpose, but also enhances safety and mitigates wind-induced sway.
Occupying a total area of 530,000sqm, One Za’abeel introduces a new neighborhood catering to both residents and visitors. Boasting amenities such as dining, retail spaces, professional workspaces, and hotel experiences, it is set to become a premier destination for tourism. Notably, the luxury resort collection, One&Only has introduced its inaugural urban resort within the building accompanied by 94 exclusive Private Homes. Similarly, the innovative lifestyle and hospitality brand, SIRO has also chosen this location for its first hotel.
The development also features a green oasis with shaded walkways guiding visitors to the building’s diverse offerings including urban parks, a children’s playground, and a garden pool. This meticulously designed entrance experience seamlessly integrates residences, businesses, and leisure across both towers.
